Why would you think otherwise? Sure it can be challenging but who’s not up for a challenge after all we have been through? We have lost loved ones. Many of us are unemployed. Our kids are exhausted from being homeschooled and so are we. How can youwork from home, while managing your young kids’ virtual school work? It’s difficult, correct? So why would you think you can find time to love during a pandemic?
I interviewed some married friends that suggested date nights, even if it’s in your backyard. Do something to get away from the hustle and grind. Just you and your spouse. Cook side by side. Feeding each other your favorite dishes. Have a candlelight dinner. Put on some sexy attire and dance in your living room like no one is watching. Let your hair down! Go for a long drive and hold hands in the car, getting real old-school being as close as you can. Snuggling as if you are two high school sweethearts. You know how we were. Rekindle that sweet love affair you had “back in the day.” Just reconnect. Put the kids to bed early and have a movie night with wine or your other favorite beverage. Wear something seductive to rejuvenate that love affair you used to have. Be open to spoiling one another. Play card games, love games, or conversational games. Bring back that spark!
For those of us that are unmarried, this is actually the best time to get to know someone. This can be perfect! Yes! Get intimate with learning about who they are. Listen attentively. Ask questions. Ask questions such as Why are you single? What happened in your past relationship? What are you looking for in a mate? Do you want to be in a serious relationship or are you just having fun? What makes you happy? What makes you sad? What has made you angry?
If you stay away from closed-ended questions, you will get sincere responses. It’s also a method to use for picking up on those dreadful red flags. Knowing more about someone is the most effective way of learning the good, the bad, and the ugly. If you’re mostly attracted to the physical, you have lesser of a chance to ever really get to know that person. These unprecedented times make dating over the phone, via FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet, etc., so much easier to fall in love with the person from the inside. That way, by the time you meet up, oh my how sparks can fly higher than ever!! Just be real with yourself and have fun! Fall in love…during a pandemic! It can be done! ❤️❤️❤️
Moving beyond,
